HOW DO I OCTOBER? (Blog) (Patreon)

G'day bloody legends, I hope you're all tevelling good. Exciting times huh? Crash 4 THIS WEEK! Tony Hawktober on the horizon! But this leads me to a dilemma...

Option A) make only 3/6 Hawktober episodes available for Early Access and upload the entire special a week early (12th-17th).

Option B) stick to the plan, all 6 episodes for Early Access and release Hawktober between the 19th-24th.

Please let me know what you think will be best, cheers guys!

Hawktober Progress) 100% FILMED!!!
At this point in time, every single episode is in post-production phase, with one episode already completed! Given it's about 2-3 days per video to get editing done (at a casual pace) the special won't be far away from completion with only 5 more to complete. I am juggling between Crash 4: It's About Time work which leads to the second dilemma of October 2020...

Crash 4) Ideally, I'd want that review out ASAP while the game is white hot. However... not possible! 😂 Listen I can potentially drop Hawktober and rush the episode out, with Hawktober releasing in the last week of the month, similar to last year. But I'm not really keen on that. I think it'll be better to get Hawktober completed and out of the way, giving PLENTY of time to accurately cover Crash Bandicoot and give it the time it will... probably need. Or maybe not, who knows?

Definitely not me. I don't know anything about Dash Dingo 4... 😨

Look given I won't really be ready to start writing that until mid-next week anyway, I'll just about have Hawktober mostly edited by then so as soon as it's done, it will be going up. My question about a limited early access basically means that if we decide it will be limited, the special can go up a week ahead of schedule and give some breathing room between it and Crash 4. If only the fuckers released the game in November, there would be zero problems. So maybe a Live Stream in the meantime might be a good way to just acknowledge it on the channel, then drop Hawktober, then review the game and be done with it all.

The Broader Plans) As I've previously mentioned, I'll be taking a bit of a break the moment all of this is finished. However I will be getting ahead on some Game Testing again just to help fill the void a bit and also because it's been so long for me since I last recorded an episode, I've got a real itch for it again.
I'd like to do a Christmas episode this year. On what, I have no fucking idea but I missed out last year thanks to Ty the Depression Tiger so I'll probably just pick something at complete random. Though due to next gen hype this year, I wouldn't expect anything to really perform well over the holidays.

Channel Performance) Proud moment: September 2020 was the strongest month in the channel's history which is fucking awesome! Couple of things:

• We hit 40,000 subscribers (already over 41k already)
• Largest subscriber growth in a single month EVER
• Highest view count in a single month EVER

So yeah, shit has been fucking mental people! Every single year heading in October, the channel has been at its lowest points. This year is not only the first time we're going into the month with momentum... but it is earth shattering momentum for the channel. I honestly can't believe it so I just wanted to say thank you all so much for sticking around and supporting me with this thing. FINALLY starting to get somewhere with it this year! 😊💚
