G'day quantum mates, just want to say thanks to everyone who offered input last week about how to tackle the month of October. However in a real "Square Eyed Jak" move, I've changed my mind for the 40th time in 40 days so here is the new plan!

October Release Schedule)

• Friday 16th - Crash 4 Review
  I flipped and decided that this needs to be out ASAP. Some of the momentum from September has dropped off so from a YT algorithm perspective, it's always best to attack with the most relevant topic. But also, there is really no reason I can't have the video done closer to the game's release.
• Final Week of October 26th-31st - Hawktober O2
  Pushing this back to the final week again gives me plenty of time to get things done after Crash and also won't deny FULL Early Access to the entire special, which solves last week's dilemma

Current Progress) The Crash 4 episode was thankfully, written in a couple hours... all 7 pages of the script! It's a long one, the video will hit the 30 minute mark as is usually the case with new Crash games, given there is so much to discuss. I'm happy with it though having filmed everything and I will begin editing tomorrow, hopefully it will be done by Monday-Tuesday! That will put me in the perfect spot to jump back into Hawktober editing, which is already halfway complete! 3/6 episodes are fully finished and given these are 2 days to edit per episode, that will see the entire thing completed the following Monday-Tuesday. And finally that gives plenty of time for Early Access and such prior to the special launching on YouTube!

So that's what's happening now. Chaotic but thankfully I can afford to lose the odd day here or there if needed, which is NOT something I plan on doing. The real juggle with the channel year round is always finding a nice balance of content. So having that week gap between Crash 4 and Hawktober helps, along with ending on 6 episodes in the space of a week, will also position the channel in a stronger position ready for me to take a little break... in theory, that's how it works. Though if Hawktober bombs, then I'm up shit creek! 😅

Technical Dramas) Some of you who follow me on Twitter may have seen me post about audio/video sync issues I've suddenly started happening with ALL of my Hawktober content which is a real pain in the ass. Still working on uncovering the cause but the temp fix seems to be ditching Audacity and using alternate programs which just feel really weird for me. But at least I can still get on with recording videos, especially as I plan to get ahead filming testing and the October podcast before I log off for my little break.
Have contacted RODE tech support but they're slow as shit. I've had the mic for 4-5 years at this point and it's been well looked after. So there is really no reason for it to suddenly start not working correctly. Hope I can figure out the issues and move past this drama without too much hassle.
