Important Changes! (Blog) (Patreon)

Hey guys, sorry for missing last week's blog post. I've been both taking it easy in the video production area, while also working my fucking ass off to organise a bunch of stuff. There will be some serious changes happening to the channel very soon and I'm currently in the process of getting all of that underway. I'll speak more in-depth hopefully soon in the form of an update video on the channel but until then, I'll give all of you the basics!

AntDude) You guys know AntDude right? Well I've actually been in contact with him lately and he was generous enough to offer a lot of feedback about my channel: HONEST feedback as a true fan. Now let me make this clear: For the past 4-5 months, I've felt like something has been off with the channel, something just didn't feel right to me. While I've continued to grow, I'm not growing anywhere near as quickly as I was at this time last year, which is really scary. Not to mention, I felt like I was doing something wrong, things were becoming a lot harder and it was getting very un-fun to make content for a little while. Well speaking with AntDude has MASSIVELY helped to put things into perspective for me and it's given me a new outlook on the channel and how it should be run.

So What's Changing?) Well firstly, Live Stream re-uploads will no longer be appearing on the main channel. Instead they have their own, NEW channel for them to live, along with hopefully some more content in the near future. So if you're interested in seeing that, go and subscribe HERE! 

The next thing: consistency! THIS is what I knew deep down inside I was doing wrong, but just couldn't put my finger on it. I attempt SO many different types of videos: Reviews, Top 10's, Shorties, Gameplays, Collecting and Live Streams. Now that's not the problem. The problem is that Square Eyed Shorties don't fit the normal format. They're designed, formatted and presented differently to everything else and to a new viewer, it presents the overall channel as a lot messier than it actually is. SO, they're not going away! INSTEAD, I'm in the process of re-inventing those topics into my normal Review formula. This is so that I can still make these videos and talk about these topics, but in a way that is very similar to what EVERYONE is subscribed for: Square Eyed Jak!

Now I do't know when these will start showing up as I'm still working out the kinks but hopefully, I can get them working well which means more of the content YOU want and a much cleaner image for the entire channel, which should hopefully assist with growth! In the even that it doesn't work, I really don't know. I'll most likely drop them entirely. Something I don't want to do because there is an audience for that content, just not as much as everything else. Again, working those videos into a more popular format, could allow more subscribers to watch and enjoy those types of videos but we'll just have to wait and see.

So that's pretty much everything. I'm also in the process of changing who my channel is Partnered with. Nothing serious, I'm just looking for greener pastures essentially, as well as moving to where I can get more assistance and opportunities for the channel. Like I said, I'll go over this all again in some greater detail once EVERYTHING is organised but until then, thank you so much for supporting the channel! I could never express how much I appreciate it, aside from continuing to make the stuff you guys love to see.
