Something a little bit different today! These pretty roses make a lovely painting on their own, and they are also amazing for adding decoration and interest to an animal painting! I used the same technique to add the pink roses to the previous tiger painting and it was really fun.
This is such a quick and easy way to paint an impressionist rose. In this video I show you the technique and also how to paint this whole painting - including the leafy background and splatters!
Materials:
Liquitex acrylic paints: titanium white, phthalocyanine green, lime green, turquoise blue, prussian blue, deep violet, quinacridone magenta, medium magenta, fluorescent magenta, primary red, cadmium orange, cadmium yellow medium.
Brushes: large wide flat, large pointed, medium filbert, fan
Canvas: I used an 8inch round canvas, however this painting would also look great on a square or rectangular canvas
I hope you like this!
While I'm taking care of my dog this week I'm going to be planning some more animal paintings for you guys, maybe some winter themed ones?? If you have anything you'd like me to paint just let me know :)
