How to Paint a Colorful Beetle (Patreon)

Hey! In this video I show you how to paint this colorful, textured beetle. This painting is really fun to create and you can make it as colorful as you want! I wanted this painting to be quite abstract and have a lot of texture, so I kept the brushstrokes defined and didn't blend them.

Materials:

- Liquitex acrylic paints (titanium white, medium magenta, fluorescent pink, quinacridone magenta, prussian blue, turquoise blue, aqua green, vivid lime green, yellow light hansa, mars black)
- Palette knife (to flick the paint)

I used a large, wide paint brush for the background, and a slightly smaller paintbrush for the beetle.
