IIRC this round was decided by picking partners only for it to turn out that that would be the people you would be competing against. A couple of things missed by checking the performances include: Them taking shots at MNet, by calling JTBC the nice network or something along those lines. The host getting the nickname the Pink Villain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOikD1ZADdY That would be Jeong Eunji, the main vocalist of Apink. The judges were called vocal leaders and as expected by the title are all great singers. Both Mimi and Exy went with older songs and fit their performance to the eras they were from. The early 2000s for Mimi and I believe 80s for Exy. In a show like this, it certainly makes sense to focus more on just hitting the vocals rather than adding dance to it. Magic Carpet Ride was originally by Jaurim, who you caught a bit of when they did the collab with (G)I-DLE for MAMA. Moon Sua did such a great job. After this show, she got a song on the Reborn Rich OST, so clearly she impressed someone at the channel. Yeah, Mimi is really fun. I agree JooE's performance was probably the weakest of the round. It was a really strong batch of performances. The next round should be the quickest as it will be team match-ups and includes the song I was listening to yesterday.

lol thats kinda dirty to bait and switch like that - isnt MNet one of the biggest kpop media companies? it at least seems that way as an international fan via youtube lol - oh ok, i only know a couple of Apink songs i think (im so sick and dilemma), but she is adorable - i agree, i think the vocals in this show should be the focus just because of the premise, but i also think that if a cool dance fits and adds to the performance then also cool lol - oh thats right, i remember them, ill have to listen to their version of the song.. ive listened to Jimin's cover a few times.. although i do wish there was a studio version of her cover since in the video they do rewinds - Moon Sua really impressed me with this performance, when i showed Chris the standout ones i decided to show him her 1st and 2nd peerformance back to back since i thought it was a crazy range she showed between the two performances. - im excited to check out the next round of performances, i noticed they are teamed up on this one.. Ill prolly try to check it out tonight and get it up soon, i really like the quality of performances they have done so far

MNet is the biggest music-focused tv station in Korea (or at least the one that gets the most focus internationally) and does a lot of the music competition shows you see. Actually, I do believe besides Seonyou, everyone on this show has been on MNet competition shows before. Most of them were on Queendom or Show Me The Money (or both), while JooE was on the survival show that formed Momoland. MNet itself is just one subsidiary in a large company. I went in cheering for Moon Sua (along with several others) and she did a really great job on the show. I think Billlie is posed to make it big soon because Moon Sua and Tsuki's popularity keeps going up. I know the two of them recently got gigs as hosts on one of the weekly music shows.
