Can someone help explain why some of the charts using the ATR model dont provide LEVELS. On the bottom of my charts it just says level 8.

Hi all, I tried out the ATR for some weeks. I liked it very much but what kept me from continue using it was the thing that the buy and sell signals sometimes disappeared again after I had acted upon them. Did I make a configuration mistake? Or is there any trick to avoid this? Do one has to wait a certain time after the signal has flashed? Thanks a lot for any help upon this 👋

optimised trend isnt sold alone, it comes with pair trading I believe and maybe some others but not ATR.

yes love James, love all of his work, BUT this doesnt get talked about enough. A lot of the IA indicators show back test numbers with an order trigger on the bar open. Problem is buy and sells disappear during the the life of the live candlestick (12 hr candle, signals may appear and disappear several times over that 12 hours, but by the close of the candle there is no signal) You can change the order trigger to bar close but usually the backtest numbers fall significantly. It appears to me that the order trigger on bar open is only calculating (cherry picking) those that an entry was taken on the the first signal and then closed that candle with the signal still "alive" Ignoring the ones that arent still "alive". Please let me know if I'm wrong. Thanks!
