Hi team

The new ARB Calc updated for Share Change to take into account the split.

You now need 857 Shares to have 1 Wholecoin. Rem MSTR trades at a premium.

Sitting on 332% long term gain with my MSTR in a taxable account, Don't think it would make sense to convert to BTC ETF considering probably would be selling any new BTC related equities within a year.

Yeah, I’m having trouble making sense of this. I’ll need to really sit down and study this. Does this mean you’re effectively paying $116k for a BTC if you buy MSTR? What’s the benefit of MSTR over BTC then?! I need to figure this out because I’m going to be making a rather large (for me) BTC / MSTR buy in a week or two….might try to time it as best I can, but doubt we’ll get another dip like we had. Anyone please chime in with whatever you understand about this. Thx!

It’s not a post recommending to buy. It’s th MSTR to BTC Arb.. meaning how many MSTR needed for 1 BTC .. previously (last yr) it was a discount.. now it’s a premium. Since they’r directly correlated & MSTR has so many BTC in balance sheet, w/ th Arb u can see which is a better avenue to benefit from BTC access. Especially since we can’t buy spot BTC in a retirement acct. Hope that helps.

I think Yahoo messed up, Instead of accounting for the split they reported MSTR was down by 90%

The premium for MSTR is pretty painful when seen in print! Anyone having doubts if this is a good way to go for a long term (5 year) outlook?

Went through James calculations in the spreadsheet and they seem right. Explanation is that not all the market cap of MSTR is pure bitcoin so you can't just divide the prices of these assets to find the ratio. You have to factor the intrinsic value of the business plus a markup the market is adding based on the assumption that Saylor and team can continue generate additional value through their BTC strategy
