PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoin, which launched on Solana, has surpassed a $1 billion market cap, growing 271% since its introduction. Solana now accounts for 88% of this growth, thanks to its fast settlement, low fees, and developer-friendly environment. PayPal chose Solana for its unique token extensions, which enhance compliance and functionality without needing complex infrastructure. As a result, Solana has become the primary home for PYUSD, with 81% of the stablecoin's supply actively used in DeFi protocols on the network.

The growth is unreal, and I'm wondering how PayPal can monetize this may it could make the PayPal stock attractive. I will dig into that.

Keep up the great work guys. I'm getting a little nervous about BTC not moving so may be looking at selling into conventional stocks.

I've been holding onto PayPal stock for quite a while, but it hasn't performed as well as I'd hoped. I'm considering selling it, but before I make any decisions, I wonder if James could take a closer L👀K

Paypal is a turn around story with a new CEO with multiple new initiatives. Best to read the earnings call transcript and the 10Q to learn about the company rather than read posts like mine.

I'm possibly too paranoid, but I can't be the only one worried about the freeze authority on PyUSD ( and USDC / USDT ) on Solana ? I'd love to hear opinions from James and others here on that. Seems safer to be in fiat or BTC ? From quick research, the only other truly decentralised stablecoins seem to be LUSD & USDM. Thoughts ?
