The current economic landscape is characterized by a concerning combination of record-high debt levels and record-low savings rates. This precarious situation has led to growing apprehension about potential economic instability.

Financial institutions may face significant challenges as a result of this imbalance. Banks could be left exposed to substantial risks, potentially leading to a wave of insolvencies within the sector. Perhaps why Warren is offloading his bank stocks.

The combination of high debt and low savings suggests a fragile economic foundation.

The ruling parasites hate citizens. They want us fat, stupid and in debilitating personal debt. They are killing us slowly while bringing in feral invaders to replace us.

@Chewie. Sadly, dream on for a Late Bull parabola.Meanwhile, I am back “toeing in” to my tax-free account. Mind you, less than 11% . right now. Yep, a little MSTR and TSLA plus a few of my other “darlings”. My short sojourn from the market worked well for me. I think you also invest in a tax-free account? Yep, within one business day, I can toe in or go heavy and not occur taxes. For me, a no brainer for folks who are prepared to DCA in tax-preferred accounts. NFA.

I said this before I say it again: 3 things Americans are lack of: responsibility to their body (Obesity & Drugs), their debt (use c card to the max) and love to their country (respect, strong border and strong military).

JoeTheHun

You shouldn’t generalize. I’m American, very fit, not using drugs, don’t have ANY cc debt, I respect my country dearly. Same goes for my wife and daughter. I take offense to your statement.

Looking at FRED charts personal savings rate 2020/21 was a huge short term spike. Average from the late 90s forward was 4-6%. Still lower now though. Consumer loans trending up since 21 Delinquency rates on loans and credit cards look to be in mean reversion. Going back to the early 90s

Closer to fascism! (Where the government and banks/corporations work together instead of competing or regulating each other)

It's almost... as if ... they're inversely correlated 😎
