Hi Team,

Here's a great share from Sanjay.

You might remember back in late 2021 and early 2022, I was strongly encouraging everyone to lock in sub-3% mortgage rates. I even secured several interest-only mortgages at under 3% for 10 years, which I referred to as 'free money.

I am still getting thank yous from all of you who did it!

I am in the 6% 😅

In India home loans are at 8-9% with no facility to do a fixed rate mortgage. It’s sad. I live in Australia now but it’s around 6% here too. 3% is a blessing

Went from 2 to 6+ when it expired. Australia sucks, you can only fix for 2-3 years at a decent rate. 💩

Quite right too James it was a great shout. What a difference any reduced percentage on mortgage and with certainty for such a duration !

In Canada we only get max 5 year fixed mortgages, but I managed to snag one at 1.79% 3.5 years ago now. Only a year and a half left till the rate goes up! Hoping for some rate cuts before then.

Nailed the bottom at 2.65 :) (US)

2.25% here for 15 years

STEM college degree and I can't afford a house! LFG!

Most I could lock in was 2 years here in Australia. Envious of you guys!

I sure wish I had bought a home and listened to this advice. By the time I did purchase I completely missed this info. I am hoping to ride rates back down and lock in when the time is right. Congrats to everyone who was able to secure a low interest rate, well done!
