Chart and Confluence Settings

Many of you have inquired about the settings I used for this analysis.

While I generally stick to default settings, there are a few key exceptions to note:

Chart Timeframe
For this particular analysis, I utilized a 12-hour chart.

Confluence Model

  • Typically, I use the 4-hour timeframe for the Confluence model

  • In this case, I applied the 12-hour Average True Range (ATR) to SOFI, which proved effective

Bullish Bias Adjustment
When dealing with stocks like SOFI that are near bottom ranges (around $6.50 in this instance), I adjust the Confluence model to a bullish bias. This is based on the principle that the only direction from such a low point is upward. By making these adjustments, we can better capture potential upward movements from oversold conditions.

Trend Settings

Very tight

I would love it if you could share your 100 disruption stock ideas and also how to keep refreshing and choosing which stocks would make this list

You should make an account to do covered calls for a year for income example

In the screengrab for this, I can see 1 buy signal at the top of the range which few days later turns into sell. I'm guessing we can't just use ATR, also use trend together and only sell or buy when trend changes (colour changes from blue to orange) only make buys ideally at the bottom range and expect top range buy signal to be false. Still need to learn how to options trade but love the example you did in QA with this and basically doing low cost stocks to kickstart your trading career...

Naah i pass, 52 week range only: 6 - 10.not a faster horse. And oh Inversed Jim Cramer is bullish on Sofi.

The settings has been the one thing holding me back from getting some of the IA tools. This will be very helpful, thanks! Wish some of the tools came "Pre-Loaded" to some default settings... even if they are not perfectly optimized.

Seems like you need to have the lAsuite to be able to get all these settings people here are referring to. I just use the ATR model and keep checking the backtest, not really more you can do with ATR that I found. I'm not aware of anything else to use in conjunction with ATR model other than the other models provided with the monthly subscriptions . Not sure if ATR is good enough idk. I can't trade as much as others can and really get into it like many here do.

@James and Team. This is really helpful. Can you add a product (one time purchase) that goes through each setting and explains it like you did with the setting for “bullish”. This way we can understand what it does, how each setting changes the model, etc. I have been hesitant to start due to all the different settings and rules. Maybe this is already done in the sub-stack group?

Hey guys, I am new here. What is the fastest way that I can learn and get up to speed on the Covered Call Model? Has anyone seen success with this model yet? thanks

Satchel

I'm getting much different results with these settings, particularly on the confluence model. Not sure what's up.

Cardio

Thank you for the ATR settings email on SOFI James!! All set up. Thank you for the Sunday YouTube on this as well. I'm going to work this strategy!

BTC.cowboy

I’ll plug in tonight and see what I come up with, I have the suite and will post results soon!

Hans

hows it been going? I wanted to start selling covered calls as well. What stocks are you using. Sofi and?
