Cathie Wood's research is highly regarded, and I hold her in high esteem.

However, her market timing has always sucked.

She sold 262,000 shares of Tesla at an average price of $245 over the last 2 weeks, only for the stock to rise by $80 shortly thereafter. This decision cost her over $21 million in potential gains had she waited just a week.

I get her fund has restrictions which are self inflicted but she has to learn from this. But she will not.

What is worse is she takes the proceeds and buys shit stocks instead. Arrgggghhhh

She needs to partner with a hard-core trader. She is brilliant, but few people have all attributes in any difficult endeavor in life. Even the very hyper-talented require advice outside of their specific skill set. Her skill set hits a brick wall for trading. It's a bit strange, because she has no difficulty holding firm against the turmoil of early investing, and she often makes outrageous claims on how successful her investment can be, but she often doesn't hold out for those claims to come to fruition. My guess is that she doesn't want to disappoint her fund holders by making them also suffer the turmoil of waiting for a greater return when the return is already profitable. Too people pleasing.

She should find another day job. Who is giving her money to invest

Cathy bought a boat load of Coinbase shares at 170$ from the Tesla shares sale. Coinbase is up 100$ in roughly a week. She didn’t loose any money, at least as of today. For the next 12 months both Coinbase and Tesla will pump. If the crypto bull market really gets crazy, Coinbase may outperform in the next 12 months.

Buy the fund manager, not the funds. Every bit of public finance is a commission/haircut/skim a bit business model. Those that are not are private.

This is why I stopped following her trades and just listen to her insight and research.

I think research and knowing when and how small/large to go in are completely different skill sets. The professor and the mad axeman. One is doing the research needed the other going in hard when the oppo arrives. Most people are one and not the other.
