Jacob is back with another killer video. I have done one on this topic before but it was on desktop. This is how to open a SOL perpetual position using Phantom and Jupiter on mobile (UI is slightly different on mobile, process is the same). Thanks Jacob!

  • Set up Phantom Wallet

    • Download Phantom Wallet from App Store or Google Play Store

    • Create a wallet and transfer SOL to it

  • Access Jupiter

    • Open Phantom app and go to the browser tab

    • Find Jupiter in trending sites or type "jup.ag" in the URL bar

  • Connect Wallet

    • Ensure Phantom wallet is connected to Jupiter

    • If not, connect manually using the top-right option

  • Navigate to Perpetuals

    • Click on "Perps" at the top of the Jupiter interface

  • Configure Trade

    • Choose long or short position

    • Set the amount of SOL to trade

    • Select leverage (e.g., 3.3x as recommended)

    • Review position size, liquidation price, and fees

  • Execute Trade

    • Click "Long SOL" or "Short SOL" button

    • Confirm the transaction

  • Manage Position

    • Monitor your position in the Jupiter interface

    • Set take-profit and stop-loss orders if desired

    • Add collateral if needed to avoid liquidation

    • Close position partially or fully when ready

Important Considerations

  • Understand the risks of leverage trading

  • Be aware of liquidation prices and their implications

  • Consider the impact of borrow rates on long-term positions

  • Use lower leverage (e.g., 3.3x) to reduce liquidation risk

Remember to trade responsibly and only risk what you can afford to lose.

Q. What is the sorftware you use to record from the phone? (asking for a boomer friend..)

Tried this and lost 10 SOL. Seems like perp trading on Jupiter is in Bèta. Be carefully. Perps fail if there is not enough liquidity. You end up loosing your SOL.

Correction. Reading back all reactions I found out you can have only one perp at the time. I tried opening more then 1. The 'missimg' SOL was added to the perp. Sorry for this newby mistake. Jacob thanks for your video.

What are the best indicators for SOL perps? - will just the optimised trend do? - or to really do well, IADSS or the IA Suite is required?

Hi Jacob, I have jup.ag and Solflare wallet connected (using alphanumeric password) in my PC. I want to use my phone, when i downloaded Solflare app they asked me, which one should i pick 'create new wallet' or 'restore wallet'? when i chose create wallet, they ask enter new passcode, only numbers. When i chose restore wallet, they ask recovery phrase 12-24 words, which i don't have? WHhat to do to sign in using my PC Solflare password? Thanks Jacob.

Great vid to wet our appetite. I was confused by the "Size of Long" You explained when changing leverage to 10x, your position is now 10 Sol. From this, I was concerned that if the price reached liquidation level, I would have to pay 10 Sol. Correct me if I am wrong but the "Size of Long" has no relevance to liquidation. We would only lose the intial 1 Sol "You're Paying". Could you also explain if the price dropped below entry price & you no longer wanted to hold / pay borrow fees, would you only lose the reduced amount eg $10 below, you would end up with 1SOl, minus $10, minus fees?..... Hi! Nice name;) These leverage trades do not have an expiration correct? Because they are PERP? Just a confirmation because currently have been using blofin but would switch to Phantom
