NOTE I DO THIS AS A TEACHING EXCERCISE for the family in here.

this was done in retirement account - a small portion of my TSLA and MSTR position.

after today trade earlier - I flipped the TSLA back into MSTR as I telegraphed this morning.

This morning I sold my MSTR for $391.30 and I bought Tesla for $352.53.

Just now I sold TESLA for $349.53 and bought MSTR back at $377.11

MSTR: 391.30−377.11=14.19 per share profit. (to be clear I am moving thousands of shares around) this is $14190 per thousand shares gain

TSLA 352.53−349.53=3.00 per share loss. (to be clear I am moving thousands of shares around) This is loss per share eg $3000 on the TESLA part

The pair chart above went from 1.11 TSLA per MSTR share to 1.078

Ok so a recap after I talked to Fidelity. We do this to get more of an asset because in our retirement account we do not need to pay taxes every year And also Is there a wash sale to worry about? Thank you

Azsh

You don't pay taxes when trading in a retirement account so the wash sale rules don't apply.

Excited to be part of the team I just signed up. I’m so grateful I have to learn how to do this. I have Tesla and Michael sailor for a long time and very grateful to you helping me to get into it. Thank you.

Think my amounts are too small to make this worth while ...

Hello, I am a bit confused. I have been watching this pair trade like a hawk in the past month since I was thinking of replicating it. However, it seems I might have missed some email, because the last transaction I have is the one from the 21st of November when MSTR was sold at $475 and bought back at $433. So, per my calculation the math on this one is: MSTR: 391.30 - 433 = - 41.7 loss per share 391.3 - 377.11 = 14.19 profit per share TSLA 352.53−349.53=3.00 loss per share loss. Have I missed the email on which it was specified the the MSTR bought on the 21st of November at $433 WAS SOLD?

You've convinced me, finally, about TSLA; I admit I'm stubborn. My current entry target is $271; wishful thinking?

What’s the best platform to buy Tesla stock. I heard that robinshood has hidden fees. Is that true ?

A win is a win in terms of shares, but in $ terms you lost on tesla and negated the loss on mstr by not being in it so could buy more shares. TBF looking at the pump MSTR has just done great move.

How are you able to sell twice in a day inside a cash account (tax free account).
