He has no control over inflation.

Supercore inflation is on the rise and there is nothing he can do about it - even after dropping rates 100 basis points since Sept - inflation still rising.

But even worse - so are rates... the FED have no control! Nor do the 400 PhDs - the Fed should be shut down and automated w AI.

The question is, are they going to remain hawkish in 2025 while stocks and crypto bleed out?

Austrian economics posits that money is not a creation of the state or government but emerges organically from the interactions of individuals in the market. This perspective is rooted in the school's emphasis on individual action, voluntary exchange, and the subjective theory of value. So yeah, puck the Fed and their bullshit.

You heard it here first, James is correct. By the way James had been calling this for years now.

The Fed has a way to fight inflation: Flush trillions out of the markets by fanning flames and then quenching; like the last post-hike verbiage. Threaten to raise rates . . . Indeed, when spending slows down next month, the curtains will open on the "naked emperor" aka recession. We have been in recession for several quarters - w/o the ridiculous, irresponsible government spending. In addition, we will have relief from the outright lies spewed by the Deep State to support Soros' pols. They will happily tell us the bad news after Soros' monkeys are replaced by DJT and DOGE.

I’ve never understood why interest rates can’t be negotiated freely, based on supply and demand and market outlook, like anything else in our economy.

Not sure why humans abdicated control of our global finances to hawks, doves, bulls & bears?

Well at least January is historically very bad for BTC so we have that to look forward to. Also the bromance between DJT and Elon will eventually turn into a brawl obviously, both are legendary for hating ex bff’s. Just didn’t think it would end this soon. That’ll be bad btw

Part of the issue is that though the Fed may tighten monetary policy, fiscal policy can and likely will loosen; if Yellen and the US Government continue to manufacture money and spend like mad, inflation will rise regardless of the Fed.

I'm not sure what the "Deep State" and "Soros' pols" are, but the 2-party oligarchy that is the US political economy - dominated as it is by the Global Central Banking Cartel, the DNC and RNC and the major corporate industries (Big Pharma, Insurance, Weapons, Oil & Gas, Auto, Agri-food, Finance, Tech, etc) - fundamentally remains regardless of which talking head or even party is in power. Unfortunately for us of the middle-class.
