Here are a few observations that seem unusual to me:

  • Smoking: It's surprising to see that people are still spending money on tobacco, with an annual expenditure of $370. Not judging.... :D booze seems very low at $1.60 a day :D

  • Education: Spending only $1,700 on education annually is quite shocking. It's a low amount considering the importance of education.

  • Savings: There's a clear indication that people aren't saving enough, which is concerning for financial future stability.

  • Eating Out: The expenditure on food away from home at $3,900 should be cut out entirely. It's not only expensive but also unhealthy.

  • Insurance, Pensions, and Healthcare: The combined cost for personal insurance, pensions, and healthcare is notably high, suggesting a significant portion of income goes towards these necessities.

  • Transportation: I believe transportation costs could be reduced significantly by opting for an EV like a Tesla, which can be leased for about $250 a month, especially if you charge it at home and get Tesla insurance.

  • Reading: The amount spent on reading materials is incredibly low at $117. Personally, I spend close to $10,000 a year on subscriptions because reading extensively is important to me.

These percentages don’t seem accurate to me… where’s childcare expenses? I have 2 young kids, and daycare expense is almost as much as my 6.75% mortgage, and more than twice my transportation expenses (old cars)

James, $10K is a lot for books. Would you be kind enough to break that down?
