This piece of news has me very excited. The idea of every child getting a $1K S&P 500 starter account at birth, per the Invest America Act, is indeed groundbreaking. It could set kids up for a strong financial future by giving them an early start in investing, time in the market is huge, growing that initial amount significantly over time.

Kudos to Brad Gerstner for proposing such an innovative concept—it’s a bold move to empower the next generation financially right from the start!

So excited. Every country should do this.

Well not exactly. It’s every child born between Jan 1, 2025 and Dec 31, 2028. This is one of those awesome things that if we want to keep then it’s going to have to be fought over again and if we know the current state of the democratic party, they will fight against anything related to Trump no matter how well it serves the citizens.

Not a fan of bloating the deficit more, but I think this is something that should have happened decades ago. Set it at a minimum default pullout age (59-1/2) and it creates an incentive to growing it. This is money better spent than most programs that they are in control of.
