AI is driving a huge surge in energy demand, the biggest in many many decades, all driven by data centers. I recall the FUD last year that the "grid" could not handle EVs and the FUD that Bitcoin Mining will boil the ocean... well this AI demand is infinitely larger.

PS Tesla Megapacks are critical to smoothen out the energy so as not to blow up GPUs

PPS this could also be good for Bitcoin Miners that have access to Energy

Which are the "Bitcoin Miners that have access to Energy"?

I wouldn't say it was FUD necessarily when people in CA were told not to charge their electric cars during high demand times (Summer- A/C). Also that Elons data center in Memphis is running on several auxillary generators, not being able to aquire enough power locally.

When we lived in CA we'd get notices from the power company to cut our AC down during "peak surge" times. Yeah, no. Not turning it down. So glad I left that sh!thole.

Nuclear Power is the answer for base load power. Clear the red tape/reduce regulations and let the market decide. I bet the 'market' decides on nuclear over a bunch of ugly panels littering the countryside.

How vital is it that we consider getting solar and battery backup for our homes? Saw that Elon is buying natural gas peaker plants. Will all this energy demand push up the overall price of elect to where we wished we got solar to help us.

Today, July 15, 2025, President Donald Trump announced $70 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) and energy investments for Pennsylvania during the inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. The investments, aimed at positioning the U.S. as a leader in the global AI race against China, include new data centers, power generation expansion, grid infrastructure upgrades, and AI training programs. Key companies involved include BlackRock, Palantir, Chevron, and ExxonMobil, with Blackstone committing $25 billion for data center and energy infrastructure development, expected to create 6,000 construction jobs annually and 3,000 permanent jobs. The summit, hosted by Senator Dave McCormick, brought together over 60 CEOs and leaders from tech, energy, and finance, including figures like Larry Fink (BlackRock) and Darren Woods (ExxonMobil), to promote U.S. energy and AI dominance. However, the announcement has sparked criticism from environmentalists due to its focus on fossil fuels, especially after recent legislation rolled back clean-energy tax credits, which some argue could hinder AI growth by limiting renewable energy options.

Anyone else feel like we’re living out the Matrix movies in real life…as we speak???? 😳 Maybe someday soon I can download the “perfect wife” app 😂 imagine the disappointment when you order your new bride off of Amazon and when you open the box finding out they mistakenly sent you a dude 🤢

Everyone forgets they are built by the "LOWEST BIDDER "!!!... And...the NRC is a Government agency!!! Hello... Definitely NOT the safest energy producing decision...infact it's the WORST choice.

It is wild. Necessity is the mother of invention, as always. The wave of energy solutions incoming will mirror the fracking revolution, possibly even surpass it.
