Inflation Is Not Just a Theory—It’s Been Draining Your Wallet for Decades

Let’s talk numbers. In the year 2000, the average American family paid $6,000 per year for health insurance premiums.

Fast forward:

  • 2003: $9,000

  • 2006: $11,000

  • 2009: $13,000

  • 2012: $16,000

  • 2015: $18,000

  • 2018: $20,000

  • 2021: $22,000

  • 2024: $26,000

That’s a 342% increase in just 24 years.

Now here’s the kicker: over the same period, the official U.S. inflation rate (CPI) has averaged only 2.5% per year.

So while the government says inflation is “small or neglible,” real-world costs like health insurance tell a very different story. If inflation truly were only 2.5% annually, that $6,000 premium in 2000 should be about $10,000 today—not $26,000.

Inflation compounded over time—quietly eroding purchasing power, gutting savings, and making life more expensive in ways many don’t notice until it’s too late. Don't believe 2.5% for a second.

Inflation isn't just a number. It's a silent tax. And it's real.

h/t be kind but shrewd again :D

I pay 9k US for hubby and I annually. Self employed high deductible one of the least expensive plans and we’re both healthy no issues don’t even go once a year.

Is it really just the inflation alone that causes this skyrocket jump on health insurance premium, OR HI companies are the scum of this earth?

Papajos

Bit what about Trueflation? There it shows an even lower inflation. So what should we believe?

Show n Go

They should put that money in Bitcoin and only use when needed

I’m sure some will now pipe up that socialised medicine is the answer as in the uk , but they forget if we have a 4% annual pay rise for example - guess what . 25% of that is taxed , so on effect this chart is true for us too to an extent

The CPI is the govt’s favorite magic trick. Hate to sound cynical, but CPI was never designed to reflect your actual cost of living. It’s engineered to understate inflation, so they can: Suppress Social Security & pension increases 🫵 Justify low interest rates to manage government debt Gaslight the public into thinking their shrinking paycheck is somehow “just fine” They want the masses dazed, confused, and stuck on the hamster wheel because your burned energy powers the 1%’s comfort. How the Wealth Funnel Works The 1% own assets: stocks, real estate, equity. The 99% rely on wages, which lag behind inflation. Inflation boosts asset prices = rich get richer. Meanwhile, your rent, food, healthcare, and tuition explode, but CPI says “nothing to see here.” This gaslighting is .strategic messaging to protect the fiat house of cards and to keep feeding the 1% Peak Fiat Is Here. The System Is Cracking. This is why you’re seeing: Populism and anti-establishment sentiment rising!!! Trump etc Communist and socialist candidates gaining ground (NYC just bounced the Cuomosexual ass grabber 😳) in favor of an overt communist!! Can you blame em? Regular folks waking up and saying: “Wait… how is this capitalism working for me again?” It’s not. When rent is $4K, health insurance is $2K, and your salary is $55K yr eating spam or franks and beans from a can, you’re not free. You’re financially farmed. More and more are discovering how to save in Bitcoin: The Opt-Out Button, the protection of savings We’re staring down the barrel of hyperbitcoinization because: people are done being lied to. The fiat system is bursting at the seams. The exit door is open and it's scarce, decentralized, and uncensorable. When a government lies about inflation, rigs metrics, and criminalizes poverty…it has become an Orwellian Dystopian state!!! It’s an Animal Farm. And we? We’re the livestock. So what do people do… they will grab pitchforks, parallel systems, or orange-pills from here on out. 🍊 https://youtu.be/UOTAdvc1MJM?si=5VVAMgjGELrDG4G1

The problem with every government is the republic , the representative democracy established in Ancient Rome , they are oligarchs, what we need is real democracy directly from the people, the only solution to get our world back, our lives and , … this is also the roots of bitcoin

Most people know they are being f@cked, they don't understand how much they are being f@cked, they just don't know what to do about it, and if they do, they don't know how. Once people understand enough, and get tired of being reamed, they will revolt, and the system will be changed. This is the way its always been done ...

i like to think of BTC as being a quiet, open rebellion that stands firm, front & center, 24/7, calmly weathering the flack that wails from all sides as it waits patiently for the penny to finally drop.
