Alarming data for UK once again. Sad to see.

Dubai continues to win and USA jumps to second place.

Shout out to Italy... Amalfi Coast for the win!

Call me crazy, but I'm just not sold on Dubai/UAE.

Zero income tax. If you are high income off investments you can buy the house and live for free compared to Western countries that take minimum 25% of your investment income.

Ha good riddance to all the non dom tax parasites leaving the UK. Rich immigrants who contribute noting to society but benefit from the rest of us paying our fair share.

If the UAE is so good then how come its richest inhabitants fly to London every summer? Let’s face reality here it’s just a tax-free materialistic vacuum devoid of any soul.

Italy 🇮🇹 Amalfi Coast 😍 30% capital gains tax 😭

I think that is exactly what the data shows. Money is moving so that people can use more of their money in the way they want. That includes travel and visiting "home". It's really just a graphic showing impact of poor policies. If you could keep most of your money and live anywhere you wanted many would choose "home". Just an opinion...

Taxis are ridiculously expensive there aswell, they should be wearing balaclavas!!!

Good. The middle east is a very tough place to live if you are used to the English countryside. A life under air con is not a life. Greedy people who do not wish to contribute to society through taxes are in effect a burden as other better people will take their place. A win for society as most of these folk have family cash / properties etc, those that will replace them will be entrepreneurs and employ people. I was brought up in a rich cohort, most of the millionaires I know are greedy and have inherited family cash, they have only worked as a bit of fun if at all and do not contribute meaningfully to society. Just how much cash do you need anyway. Good riddance

The Jackal

Surprised nobody has said it...they're leaving the UK in droves because of the influx of immigrants destroying the country.

I think you are missing some important points. It is not only about being greedy, it is about storing you wealth in a country that has a strong future. UK is not one of them. The UK is on the path of self destruction, and liberal politicians are throwing fuel on the fire.

Nice to see Portugal picking up a few stragglers.

Boring

Maurice so small and faraway but always present.

Aussie Bitcoin Maniac

Australia not really a Tax Haven, but attracting Asian millionaires because of stability and rule of law, unlike Communist China where most are coming from.

A key metric is the "millionaire migration per million"; those countries with small populations taking in a disproportionately high number of millionaires will continue to see inflation, especially in housing prices, hitting local working/middle class communities the worst. Vancouver's housing crisis really took off around 2013 with a tsunami of untaxed foreign, especially Chinese, and criminal/drug money flowing into real estate (though the trend had begun by at least the 2000s). Vancouver's story is not unique, though it's a particularly egregious example. Recent protests against major cost-of-living inflation related to the influx of foreign affluence in Mexico City in recent years highlight it as a global trend (that's also nailed Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Toronto, Barcelona, Athens, Zurich, Lisbon, etc.).
