Even despite Govt Spending being slashed, that is what kept GDP positive over the last 4 years under Biden, net exports are doing very well.

US Q2 GDP is out with +3.0% (vs 2.6% expected, –0.5% prior).

Trade distortions boosted the headline. If we strip out tariff-driven trade swings & volatile inventories, GDP looks very different:

➡️ Clean GDP ≈ +1.1%

The underlying economy is growing modestly, leaning on households. Business investment remains weak, momentum is softer than the headline suggests.

miracle??? it is complex. I have maintained from Day 1 using Tariffs as a neg tactic was good to bring about fairer trade... this benefits all markets all countries.

Hurts to watch NVDA keep going up when SOL and TSLA can't catch a bid.

Finally, starting to learn how to take profits, just closed out a long-term trade at 130% profit. Roblox. Trying to aim for 2X to start with, enough being greedy.

The "GDP Growth is Back!" post hails tariffs as an economic triumph, while the "Tariff Miracle???" post admits they just inflate GDP numbers (3.0% headline vs. a measly 1.1% clean), exposing a shaky economy needing rate cuts. It's a glaring flip-flop from cheerleading to admitting the numbers are smoke and mirrors. So which is it?

Tariffs are BS and we all know that. You end up paying more for goods. Its that simple. Whoever tells you differently is just paddling their own BS...

It's far, far too early to be declaring tariffs a win or loss Highly likely a net negative USA, worse overall global GDP Govt intervention isn't normally great, worse when on the run and clumsy This is major supply chain disruption that takes time to work through, as we have just seen via covid shock spanning years This is just a regressive tax that will hurt the bottom 80% in order to fund the top 10% in parallel with the BBB While tariffs are a train wreck, Dems will probably jump on board, as it's popular to blame trade imbalance on another country, rather than hold politicians accountable
