Fidelity is trying to create a Solana ETF with staking. I'm hoping that they will add that to the availability of Solana with staking to their crypto accounts soon as well. I live in a high fire danger area, so I would prefer to use Fidelity over hard wallets because of it. GROK: "If Solana ETFs are approved in the U.S., the inclusion of staking is possible but not guaranteed, based on current developments. Several asset managers, including VanEck, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise, and CoinShares, have included staking language in their amended S-1 filings, indicating their intent to offer staking rewards within their ETFs. For example, VanEck’s filing explicitly mentions staking SOL from the start, with plans to select validators based on performance and security metrics. Fidelity and Franklin Templeton have also proposed staking, with Fidelity’s filing noted for potentially generating yield through staking part of its SOL holdings. The Canary Marinade SOL ETF specifically plans to use Marinade Finance as its staking provider. The SEC has shown openness to staking, requesting issuers to clarify staking mechanisms and in-kind redemptions in their filings. Bloomberg analysts estimate a 90% chance of Solana ETF approval by 2025, with staking as a key feature under consideration. Notably, a Solana staking ETF by REX Shares and Osprey Funds was reportedly approved in July 2025, combining price tracking with staking rewards, suggesting a precedent for staking inclusion. However, the SEC has previously resisted staking in Ethereum ETFs, and some analysts warn that staking language could complicate approval timelines due to regulatory concerns about classifying staking as a securities activity. Grayscale, for instance, has chosen not to include staking at launch but left the door open for future inclusion. The SEC’s final decision on staking will likely hinge on how it addresses investor protection, custody, and legal frameworks. In summary, while many Solana ETF proposals include staking, approval of staking features depends on the SEC’s final stance. If approved, investors could earn passive rewards through staking, but some ETFs may launch without it to avoid regulatory hurdles. Keep an eye on SEC updates, as a decision could come as early as late 2025."

I wonder if SOL will increase at the same pace as BTC once ETFS approved. BTC up 200% so SOL would be at least $600 in the same time frame, 18 months.

Watch the SOL/BTC pair. If it goes back to just 2021 levels then expect a 3x move. If BTC hits 150, that would mean 210 x 3 x (150/123) = 760 But key driver for this cycle may be narrative. Will tradfi and retail grasp what James sees? BTC have solid Saylor ETH have pump bags Tom Lee who is shilling like crazy. SOL has the data, but no strong narrative figure. SOL's time may be next cycle? Bitwise report Jan 2025 has following SOL targets for 2030 Bear $2,300 Base $4,000 Bull $6,600 Banking the gains this cycle and getting back in during the bear may be the play? https://bitwiseinvestments.eu/blog/special-reports/the-investment-case-for-solana/files/Bitwise-Eurupe-The-Investment-Case-for-Solana-SOL.pdf
