Norway's Top Pension Fund adds MSTR for BTC Exposure

By June 30, 2025, the fund’s investment in MicroStrategy grew from $514 million at the end of 2024 (equal to 0.72% ownership) to $1.18 billion (1.1% ownership). That’s about a 130% increase in value (more than double) and a 46% jump in ownership.

This means the fund indirectly had exposure to around 7,161 Bitcoin, based on its 1.1% stake in MicroStrategy’s 630K BTC holdings.

Overall, the fund’s stake in MicroStrategy increased in value by about $666 million.

Cognitive–Dissonance

do we not have enough evidence at this point to confirm that MSTR price has little to do with BTC‘s price? It did in the beginning of this bull run, but the correlation seems to have broken down. Am I wrong?

many people act like MSTR is not going to be buying btc anymore, they still will be buying lots, just now with money they get from the bonds, Mr Saylor said the other day that he is dreaming to have a 100 bln bondmarket money warchest as far as I remember

I always take some off the table when we hit over $420. It has worked great, I rotate into TSLA and IBIT.

Lovely, and this will increase now. Also the dilution if control well, MSTR should cross 500 soon.

what worries me (and maybe others as well) mostly is that Strategy is very dependent on Mr Saylor. Maybe he should put more emphasis on the whole team and their capabilities and willingness to fullfill the mission. Same reason why I do not like other person dependent companies like Tesla, what happens if he dies, supposedly he is the genius, but who are the people in management positions behind him. Proxies which are not one man band shows may do better. Obviously stock prices will fall 15-25 % within two days, but can the managers restore faith after that.
