As you know about 2 mths ago I started positions in what I call my PERP DEX Plays

  • JUP I have had a long time and by far now my biggest SOL ALT position.

  • HYPE The biggest money maker in Crypto today

  • Drift - also a money maker and a great PerpDex but a much smaller market cap.

They are all beginning to move and HYPE just made a new ATH last nite

Drift up nearly 20% today. HYPE up 18% last two days. Jup is lagging... but still up 10%.

My biggest sol alt position is RAY. I should’ve sold during the Trump pump dump 🥲. RAY was doing so damn well. I also have JUP and DRIFT.

Does this mean he is perping these or owns spot or both?

Ignore that, GROK 4 said: James from InvestAnswers refers to "PERP DEX" as a Perpetual Decentralized Exchange, a type of decentralized cryptocurrency exchange that allows trading of perpetual futures contracts—derivatives without an expiration date, tracking assets like Bitcoin (BTC) or Ethereum (ETH). These platforms, such as dYdX, GMX, or Perpetual Protocol (PERP), operate on blockchain using smart contracts, enabling non-custodial trading where users retain control of their funds. In his YouTube video Live Q&A: Perp Trading, Nuclear & Hedging, James likely highlights PERP DEXes for their high leverage (e.g., up to 200x on some platforms), capital efficiency, and ability to profit in volatile markets (like BTC, relevant to your Coinspot/SMSF interests). He emphasizes their role in advanced trading strategies (e.g., hedging, shorting) and their growing popularity post-FTX collapse due to trust in decentralized systems. Key Features of PERP DEX: Perpetual Futures: No expiry, allowing long/short positions with leverage (e.g., 10x on PERP). Non-Custodial: Trade directly from wallets (e.g., MetaMask), reducing counterparty risk. Liquidity Models: Use on-chain order books or AMMs (e.g., GMX’s liquidity pools). Funding Rates: Balance long/short positions to align with spot prices. James’ Perspective: He likely calls PERP DEXes a “money-making machine” for skilled traders due to their leverage and 24/7 markets, but warns of risks (e.g., liquidations, oracle vulnerabilities).

JLP is still my best Sol Alt

Why is DRIFT pumping so hard in a day? Just want to understand what's going on, to stay in the trade or book

Hey James, Any concern regarding the token unlock for JUP today?

Crypto-Cephalon

An update on how you're feeling about the various SOL-alts would be a nice idea for a video. Unless I missed it.

Is ZEUS dead?

Hei James. What do you think about Hype after the US markets are opening for all the dexes? Is the Hype gonna take a big hit because of that?
