Interesting !!! Just a curious thought - since countries are calling this the new arm's race - and if they will adopt it to avoid crash of their own fiats Maybe little paranoid by seeing the history of countries & the world Doesn't seem like they would let people or small companies to own more BTC than most of the countries can purchase & hold (some individuals from earlier day hold over 100,000 BTC) How could this play out?

US gold reserves current market value is est. at USD863 billion…..US government owned property, land and mineral resources are currently worth est. USD5.5 to 7.5 trillion….so that is around USD7.5 trillion collateral covering USD37 trillion debt……the value of the collateral will arguably increase with money printing….Bitcoin total current value is USD2.3 billion….therefore US government would indeed need to get its hands on a lot of Bitcoin and prices would need to rise significantly to fill that collateral gap as James says. Likely scenario is that US Bitcoin reserves bag covers interest on the debt but i can’t see it solving the whole problem.

I always struggle with how much % cash to keep since I know it’s melting. How much does James recommend keeping % of portfolio wise or number of months of expenses in cash?

James has mentioned several times that he uses leverage. This implies zero or negative cash. Maybe u should consider something that is in a solid uptrend an and then sell parts of it as needed to fun purchases

There’s a lot of sharp thinking in this episode, but I feel like something fundamental was missing not in the numbers, but in the paradigm. James talks about the Triffens dilemma United States debt. The idea of backing the dollar with bitcoin to maintain dollar hegemony, but that old game of global control through fiat issuance is already collapsing, not because of strategy, but because of physics. We shouldn’t be asking how bitcoin can preserve the legacy system. We should be asking why the legacy system deserves to survive! Fiat is not broken. It’s thoroughly obsolete. Central banks didn’t just break the system. They strip mined the future to prop up a present that was already decaying. They borrowed trillions not from themselves, but from the next three generations. Yes that’s right the geriatric generation stole from our children, and their children’s future. And for what? Asset inflation to fill their bags so extreme., the middle class is gone. Currency debasement so routine that 2% inflation is now seen as a goal. It’s ridiculous and debt that can never be repaid without debasing everything further. So what do we got now it’s not a liquidity crisis. It’s a legitimacy crisis. Gold still has issuer risk bitcoin doesn’t! James rightly points to gold as a hard asset, but gold can be confiscated as they did in 1933 with the 6102 executive order gold can be traced taxed and seized And now there is tech that can create gold atoms that are no different than gold when that technology scales there goes your scarcity…and let’s not forget about mining asteroids in space. Which are vastly gold abundant. There will only ever be 21 million bitcoin. Bitcoin is what gold wanted to be digitally native math based scarcity borderless, instantly verifiable, and most critically ISSUERLESS! For me, the game theory is so powerful this issuance point alone levels the playing field for the first time in monetary history. Gold may be a rock bitcoin is protocol . CBDC’S will only accelerate bitcoin adoption if the answer to Fiat decay is programmable permission surveillance spy coins, then we already know what comes next. CBDC’s may seem like the future, but they expose exactly why bitcoin is necessary censorship resistance, sovereign, custody exit rates everything authoritarian push will have an equal and opposite flight to freedom. This is not a theory it’s already happening. The generational flip is coming soon…boomers inherited a hard money system and papered it over with promises…millennials and GenZ are digitally native skeptical of institutions and fully on board with peer to peer tech. They don’t need to be convinced that bitcoin makes sense. They need tools to exit legacy systems, the current system wasn’t built for us…bitcoin is being built by us !!! And just the final thought James said bitcoin might help preserve the United States dollar supremacy, but I’d argue the real feature is this…bitcoin isn’t a crutch for Fiat it’s the countdown to its replacement. You don’t patch a broken foundation. You build a new structure on sound principles bitcoin isn’t perfect but it’s the first system we’ve ever had where power math and freedom are aligned. They won’t go quietly, but they will go.!!!!! 💪🏻
