TRON surpasses Ethereum in USDT transfers

In daily transfer count, TRON processes more than 6x Ethereum’s volume, with 2.6M daily transactions. Not only in number of transfers but also in total transferred value, TRON is on top.

Tom Lee calls ETH the Stablecoin King - I do question his research.

His quotes

  • On August 31, 2025, Lee described the demand as "exponential on Ethereum."

  • In a June 28, 2025 thread, he explained: "that stablecoin fees already account for 30% of Ethereum's network fees, with potential 10x growth driving exponential upside for ETH."

  • Also on June 28, 2025, Lee kicked off a detailed thread on stablecoins as crypto's most successful "real world" product ($250 billion in assets at the time), underscoring banks, merchants, and governments' interest, with ETH as the core infrastructure.

Fun fact — Solana actually does more transactions than ETH as well.

Tron trades at 5% the market cap of ETH

I see an arb here somewhere if Stablecoins matter

That is the question…do stablecoins matter (stock price) if tied to US treasuries and fiat, and don’t they do well only when bonds do well and opposes NASDAQ/risk-on asset action? The only clear catalysts I’ve seen with stablecoin stock action, so far, is passing or prospective passing of government regulation (Genius/Clarity act)..etc). I haven’t figured this out yet…especially if everyone wants to try and make their own stablecoin? I think that would eventually fall back to USDc on Solana if failure, but the stables are super easy to mint. Investing in Circle looks like it has bottomed after IPO, but with the Macro….I know it’s the major use case for crypto, but I just can’t tell which way circle is going to go, yet.

I remember buying Tron in 2017 for far less than 1 cent. Turned a little money into a lot, ended up getting caught in the crash, then turned it into BTC. Crazy times indeed, also fundamental times for me in my investing journey

Imagine if the stable providers on this leg up bought BTC or gold as the reserve

Of course Tron does more volume. Just think everytime you have the option to use the eth network…I spend about 15 minutes trying to find an alternative as there is no way I’m paying those exhorbitant fees! I pick Tron everytime or use USDC on SOL.

Gone With TSLA

ETH is now being defeated by many...

Tom Lee is starting to sound like the “Minister of Truth” for some 3rd world dictatorship.

Thank you James. I had asked about this on last week’s Sunday questions. You have helped me with this question
