Asset managers such as Franklin, Fidelity, CoinShares, Bitwise, Grayscale, VanEck, and Canary have submitted amendments to launch a Spot $SOL ETF with Staking functionality.

Analysts believe the coordinated nature of the filings suggests close collaboration with the SEC, and predict the funds could hit the market within weeks.

We don’t want centralised Blackrock we want Joe Bloggs in the street to own SOL that’s what this is all about. Once you start to use SOL as I have done since 2020 ETH waste of time way to slow useless. SOL is instant and getting faster. All the OG’s with bags of ETH pumping their bags to sell at the top or break even I should say the roll over into SOL. Once you use it you will never loose it. Simple! 🫡🥇👏🏾🤩

Yiha

No we want everyone to use sol. Literally everyone. We want so to be the new banking system. You use sol to send people money. To pay for stuff, to gamble (happening now ofcourse).

Papajos

What is SOLT then? Isn't it already an ETF with staking?

WenMoon

I think ultimately these etfs are a bad thing, sure the initial sales will bring price appreciation but the driver of these staking etfs is to create an income so they will most likely sell off the staking rewards ro do that which will add constant selling pressure

If it is coordinated, WOW. 🤯🫠.

At the end of the day SOL is mostly a speculative asset WITH utility, but mostly speculative, there will never be the case that all SOL in circulation will be used only for TXs or value transfers. Only around 10% of gold is used in industries, the rest of 90% is speculative

Pickled Egg

Anyone have an idea of what this will do to SOL share price. I picked some up at these levels myself

I hope everything is OK with James. Is he finally getting some sleep 🙏🏻😇

If you had to choose 1 or 2 of the already filed SOL ETF's which one would it be ?🤔

RemK

in Europe there are several SOL etf's. Now the US finally seems to allow SOL etf, but I have no idea which would be better.

RemK

several SOL etf's already exists, and most of them allow staking. But in the USA they didn't allow SOL etf's. Seems that the USA is slowly catching up?
