A month ago, in a weekend Q&A, I mentioned how Adobe was at risk from AI disruption and even Google's new offering... NANO BANANA

Well, it appears that TradFi is finally catching on. Morgan Stanley now sees a massive risk to Adobe.

PS if you use adobe, threaten to cancel and they will offer you 50% off for a year just to retain you.... "cancel your adobe subscription, tick the “too expensive” box and get a 50% discount for the entire year. "

Beautiful! this could push Adobe’s stock price down further, creating a great buying opportunity. Adobe is not going out of business anytime soon. Claims that AI threatens Adobe show a misunderstanding of their customer base. With all due respect, James, I strongly disagree with you here. I know Adobe’s customers well, they’re professionals who rely on Adobe’s software as a cornerstone of their work. They’re loyal and not going anywhere. Adobe’s revenue continues to grow steadily, proving the skeptics wrong. When their revenue starts to drop, then you can say, “I told you so.” Until then, the fundamentals are solid. A dropping stock price driven by misconceptions about Adobe’s business is, in my view, a fantastic opportunity to buy in!

Thanks Jame, got 33 percent off Pro when I challenged them. They really tried to sell their Adobe AI features as an add-on...I have Grok, no thanks....they didn't push back.

Corner the market, jack up the prices. As soon as Adobe went to a exspensive subscription plan I said byebye.

That derivative, IP violating garbage coming out of AI is no threat to the creative markets. It will boost productivity at best removing redundant production work.

I called my internet provider Comcast to question why my bill was so high ($105), & they instantly reduced it to $85. Wild times.

Neo

Just did it and got 50% off on my original monthly plan. Thanks James!

Jane's trick works for a lot of things. If anyone has used NordVPN for more than 3 years, if you go through the cancellation process (assuming you use yearly subscriptions( they'll offer you an additional 3 years for free. So you get 4 years for the cost of one. That sounds unreal...but it is the case! Madness!

Sorry I disagree , until nano banana is better ill adopt but currently not - / if I’m doing a technical design in photoshop there’s way too many nuances I can do with my work flow & keyboard shortcuts , the time it would take me to write out a prompt is way longer,. Then if the prompt doesn’t yield the correct results you have to start again , also nano banana isn’t free / the basic plan is $12.00 a month & that’s only 75 images a month (up to 40 a month for max plan ) if you just use photoshop it’s actually cheaper at 36 a month , nano banana is for entry level designers at present

I weened myself off adobe about a year ago and haven’t looked back. Not a professional, but I’ve found plenty of open source software to satisfy my needs without the monthly rent-seeking

I’m sorry but this is silly, just as a few weeks ago someone wrote: thinking that Adobe is just about image generation / manipulation is like thinking that Tesla is just a car company.
