The hottest used cars in America right now are Teslas—especially the Model Y and Model 3. On average, they sell in about 20 days, faster than any other car, EV, Gas, Diesel, Truck etc. Buyers are rushing in because used Teslas are best value

Used EVs now make up about 10% of the total used car market (up from just 2% a few years ago). Tesla owns roughly 70% of that space, thanks to its huge sales volume and unbeatable reputation.

Another big driver is Tesla’s upcoming Robotaxi Network, launching in select cities like Austin in late 2025. Owners will be able to put their cars to work as autonomous ride-hail vehicles, with potential earnings of $30,000 per car each year. That’s why fleet operators and savvy buyers are scooping up used Teslas now—they all come with the hardware needed for Full Self-Driving. Analysts like ARK Invest believe robotaxis could eventually make up 90% of Tesla’s total value.

Down but not out

Oh oh looks like James got another series about buying Tesla cars for passive income Which I would also love Thanks James AKA Smiley

And if everyone does this and floods the market, what's the impact? What's to stop Tesla from running their own fleet and undercut anyone wanting to do this individually or on a smaller scale? Or any larger company doing the same for that matter.

2nd hand EV's are not the most reliable things to buy these days...it will be nice to see how the robotaxies do in winter

I did have a look at a new model Y at the weekend. Overall it was good, practical etc but for £50k was flimsy and didn't scream quality. Obviously making it as light as possible to get more miles per kw..

HSBC raised their TSLA price target from $120 to $127. Interesting.

Broker992

Curious how much money you could actually make doing this. The market will get so saturated and fast. Just like what happend with AirBnB's. Will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

It may take a few years for some states and areas to approve FSD. My state also does not have Tesla auto insurance available at this time.

Timmeh

Why not reliable? Battery degradation isn't a factor so what reliability issues come up for second hand Teslas?

$120 to $127. 😆😝 What a joke. Their PTs are as ludicrous as stating $TSLA is going to zero tomorrow or $1M next year.

Just bought my first Tesla (used) early September

I’m in Greece rn. There’s a 24 hour transportation strike in Athens. No taxis or Ubers/rideshares. Who wants to tell them? 👀
