Because the TAM is massive.

The TAM for AI for just US Labor alone is 45x larger than Global Software market.

Scale of Labor vs. Software Markets

  • Global SaaS market: $300B annually, $2.2T market cap.

  • U.S. labor market: $13T annually, dwarfing software.

The next big prize for software isn’t just digitizing workflows—it’s directly replacing or augmenting human labor.

This does not even take into account the TAM of Transport for example that Robotaxi is going after.

The OpenAI/NVDA $100B looks fantastic on the surface, but doesn’t this feel like Revenue Channeling? “I invest in your company and you sell me your product” and in turn it inflates my balance sheet.

As a traders man, I see AI similar to us upgrading with new tools constantly, which makes us all more efficient in completing the contract faster. Everyone gets a bonus and the investors become more confident with investing in the next projects. Win, win, win and even for GDP. AI will even now turbo boost the office staff.

I’m not following the math. 13 T / 2.2 T does not equal 45. (?)

The TAM for interwebs in 99-00 was also massive. Doesn’t mean the majority zombies projects couldn’t bring the market down taking TSLA and NVDA with it. To be sure they’d survive and bounce back but I think they’re still vulnerable. The (mega)trend is your friend until it isn’t. Even for $T cap companies.
