I find this astonishing,,, internet was quick, Crypto slightly quicker but AI is 7x faster than Internet.

Some fun stats

  • ChatGPT reached nearly 800 million users in three years

  • Global penetration hits one in ten people

So i added Crypto Adoption [RED LINE] - also very slow compared to AI Adoption. Also supports my thesis that the TAM of AI is FAR LARGER than both Money and Crypto.

My research tells me there are only 600M Crypto users.

Key thing to remember is that governments and institutions are massively threatened by Bitcoin/crypto (to a lesser extent) because they fuel independence from state. AI they seem to see as a tool to support the state, so less there has been far less friction to the adoption of the tech.

is that research lifted from the FT?

James, your missing this play in the background: Google partnered with Coinbase, Mastercard, Polygon, and 60+ firms to launch the open-source Agent Payments Protocol (AP2), enabling AI agents to handle payments via cards, banks, or crypto with stablecoin support.c3bf1acaa3484aec55

Of course AI is experiencing faster adoption. It's standing on the shoulders of a giant... the internet...

That’s because crypto is like the Wild West and you feel like a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs when interacting with it 👀😹

And that's just chatgpt, if you add others we are probably way over a billion accounts, with probably some overlap, but still, it's massive.

Yeah, it's hard to understand Bitcoin but easy to understand and use OpenAI. But I hate Altman, so I use Grok 🤓

I met a guy on the plane, he’s was a French sales representative for datacenters in Europe. I asked him where are you renting the compute? He said we are building data centers ourself? I questioned this ? I asked him not renting equipment from NVIDIA, IBM, Amazon or Microsoft, he told me not. And they are booming he told me. That blew my mind.
