Every time I see a picture of the robotaxi I think it is the dumbest design for a taxi. Zoox shape makes way more sense - easy to get in and out of - like a London taxi. Can go in both directions - park on either side of the street from either direction - makes for an easy passenger pickup or drop off. There’s no need for an aerodynamic low sports car in a city taxi design.

100%! What's the point of selling cars when you can make a bunch of money every year with each Robotaxi. Tesla make the cars better and more efficiently than everybody else, has the battery charging infrastructure, they can dominate the entire cybercab business.

You can't make one designed like that every 3 seconds. They have a larger vehicle in the pipeline, once they have government approval in multiple countries for autonomous driving.

I agree that all in would be amazing, but a mistep for TSLA right now. People are not ready and generally hate change. Change must be managed. Why not just go all electric instead of hybrids first? Change management. Prove the tech, make more believe instead of forcing them and making haters. We are so close
