AI Boom Sends Bitcoin Miner Stocks Soaring (Patreon)

Bitcoin mining companies like Hut 8, Iris Energy, Bitfarms, and CleanSpark are suddenly hot again — their stock prices jumped 3–6% in a single day. The reason? A massive $40 billion AI infrastructure deal involving big names like BlackRock, Nvidia, Elon Musk’s xAI, and Microsoft.
Explains Elon's tweets and the back door meetings w CEO of CLSK etc over the last few weeks.
This powerhouse group, called the Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership (AIP), is buying Aligned Data Centers, a major operator that runs huge data campuses across the U.S. and Latin America. The goal: build out the energy-hungry computing power needed for the next generation of AI models. The deal could eventually reach $100 billion and is expected to close in 2026.
So why are Bitcoin miners benefiting? Many of them already own large, energy-intensive data centers — perfect for running AI systems instead of crypto rigs. By pivoting toward AI, they’re turning their mining infrastructure into AI data hubs, riding the wave of investor excitement in the booming AI space.
Even though the crypto market has slowed down (with trading volumes down 17.5% last month), these companies are finding a new way to stay relevant — becoming the backbone for AI computing rather than just mining Bitcoin.
Bottom line: It’s not about Bitcoin prices right now. It’s about Bitcoin miners transforming into key players in the AI revolution.
