I'm watching for the first time, too, but I think Scott at the end there....it's showing what will happen if he unleashes his full fury and deadly violence, if he's willing to kill. He will turn away from his humanity and fall deeper into the beast. Like Peter when he was an Alpha. Like Deucalion. I think this is why Scott keeps such a tight control on himself, why he holds back, and it seems like he's not very strong. But he is strong. Inexperienced and young but still strong, if he doesn't bother with any restraint. I think he HAS to restrain himself, especially during full moons when it's more difficult to maintain control. I'm basing this on what I'm seeing with Scott's character progression, though admittedly I also have in the back of my mind the tabletop RPG games from White Wolf, the Vampire and Werewolf games specifically. In the games, Werewolves are full of rage, and if they lose control, they frenzy and very bad things happen then to everyone around them. For the Vampires, the further away from their humanity that they go, the deeper they succumb to the Beast inside until there is nothing left of the human they once were. Given the timing of Teen Wolf and when the White Wolf games were first released, it's possible that the writers drew a bit of inspiration from the White Wolf games, perhaps. The series is soooo different from the original Teen Wolf movies with Michael J. Fox, much, much darker, so they likely drew inspiration instead from the monster movies of the era as well as the roleplaying community. Just my thoughts. 😁
