Don I understand how you feel about Scott being weak after his Season 3 power up to an True Alpha. I don't why they hyped up Scott being a True Alpha and Deucalion being threatened by him if the show were going to portray him so weak and always getting his ass beat from the beginning. It's really disappointing.

People just have to understand that Scott is not weak, he is restraining himself to an unbelievable point because of his morals, but also because he doesn't want to turn into Peter or Deucalion. On top of that, Scott has been a werewolf for 2 years only so far. He is an inexperienced fighter and an even more inexperienced alpha. These things take years to master (as evidence by the fact that Derek wasn't the best even as a born werewolf). He is also going up against things and people that are older and have more experience. Kate's beserkers have been in this form probably longer than Scott has been alive, maybe even as long as Kira's mom's been alive or more. He ain't gonna win everything. Lasty, while a true alpha is somewhat better than a regular one, it doesn't enhance his abilities that much, it mostly means the man is a greater leader and has "higher" morals than others.

I definitely agree with you about Scott holding back tremendously all the time, but as many battles as Scott been through at this point, he has plenty of battle experience and has at least basic mastery over his wolf abilities. Derek may have problems even as a borned wolf, but Scott said it himself he has control. Also, I don't think Derek would leave Beacon Hills in Scott's hands unless he believes Scott has control of his abilities. Not having full mastery of his abilities is not a good excuse at this point. Kate has less experience than Scott being a supernatural creature. Scott actually had some training from Derek and Deaton using his abilities. It doesn't even make sense that he's lost to Kate in a fight. Kate supposed to have no control and even less experience as a shape shifter, but she beated Scott, an alpha, in a fight without berserkers. Knowledge he is definitely inexperienced in as well. But I'm just mean fighting. People also want to say that because he doesn't have a proper wolf pack, he is weaker than he should be. I can agree with that, but the show display him too weak in most fights, but when he gets serious, he can easily take down every villain in little time and most of the time it's not shown in the tv show. My point is Scott even though he's been a wolf for only two years, he's been through a lot, which should balance out his Battle IQ and understand the amount of strength needed in the moment of battle to definitely knock out his enemies if he doesn't want to kill. Either way the show still made him look really weak in the of battle most of thr time. The future seasons are more proof of that.

I agree that the show makes him look weak sometimes, but I don't agree that he is weak. I think the show tried to amp up the villains each season which gave them god tier powers which Scott couldn't reach. I'm thinking of the beserkers and the next 3 villains, who are all undefeatable safe for one specific way. I think they realized that giving this power to Scott meant he was too strong so they gave him insurmountable obstacles and/or hindrance to find the way out the impass they created for themselves. I'm looking at one specific fight in season 5 where he should have won, but lost because everything was against him. It's the same case in this fight with Kate. I think you missed it but Scott was fighting the beserker first. That's why we see the beserker throwing him like a sack of potatoes. He was already mangled before starting to fight Kate. Add that to the fact that, in my opinion, Kate having no control gives her more power. Since she doesn't restrain herself and she hates Scott (which means anger and we know in the Teen Wolf world, anger equals more power), I think the writers made it easier for her to beat Scott. Compare that to Scott who was already hurt and not trying to kill Kate, he wasn't gonna win. I'd like to add that although Scott was trained by Derek and Deaton, Kate was also trained. Kate has been a hunter for maybe more than 15 years, and that doesn't just go away because she is now a supernatural creature. She still has an edge over Scott (like every single one of his enemies going forward). Now I would agree that Scott should have a gage on how to balance his strength and all that. However, if we think about it he has been an alpha for no more than 6 months at most (the timeline of this show is crazy, all 6 season in only 3 years) he had to readjust to his new strength on top of the psychological problems of his fear of going too far. So I give him grace there.

I never said Scott was weak. I said the show portrayed him being weak. Clearly he isn't. Of course they attempt to create more powerful villains for him to face, but he still looks like a scrub fighting them. Also I don't think giving an excuse of Scott losing to a Berserker first before Kate and Kate has training giving her the edge over Scott. 1. Liam, a brand new Beta, defeated a beserker by himself. If a Beta can do it, so can Scott, an alpha. Scott lost to a Beserker more than once. Derek, another Beta, killed one in one shot in Episode 12 by himself. The show has no excuse giving Scott those Ls. Kate has training as a hunter, not been trained as a were-creature and controlling it. Those are two very different things to be trained in. No reprieve there for me. I understand you being patient with Scott. He's my faborite character too, but Scott has experienced a lot in a short amount of time. It may have only been 2 years, but it has still been years it that point. Scott is still getting guidance from Deaton and Derek trust Scott's abilities to leave Beacon Hills to him. I think the writers and producers didn't do a good job displaying what a true alpha really is and how strong Scott truly is in the show. It's almost like wasted potential for me.

I'm fine with them if most people love/enjoy it, let's just not be self-centered assholes about it. (Same goes for TVD and TW fans when other shows/movies get posted)

It's irritating, isn't it? So many people getting into comments for a show, any show, they don't like and complaining about Don doing the show at all and/or demanding something else. Crazy, LOL! There are several shows he does that I actively dislike, and there are shows I'm happily watching, but there's zero reason for me to bitch about the ones I don't like. Can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time!

Btw, the doctor Deaton was talking to in the beginning was played by John Posey, the RL father of Tyler, who plays Scott on this show. It's something I just found out when I looked him up after seeing the actor's name in the credits.

when scott like went grey and the white of eyes going black, it was like ducalion, i always took it as thats how an alpha werewolf goes when they have a lot of power and are using it, or strength, etc like how jennifer was afraid of deucalion at his strongest, when deucalion went grey with the black and red eyes but deucalion can get like that after killing his betas, and many more alphas probably, having all that power added to him, and scott, who hasnt killed anyone can do it to i just wish they used it more, not saying too much, it does come up, but they had so many missed opportunities

It's not what happens when you have a lot of power, it's what happens when you lose control of the power you have. He was transforming more into what Peter was in season 1 than what Deucalion was in season 3. Deucalion lost control but was still holding the reins unlike Peter tho.
