Don, you should really check out the Superman from 1978 because he is to this day still the best Superman and Clark Kent. And he still has arguably the best first movie, but this one definitely is in the light and lane of that iteration. Even the Superman font in the opening is paying homage to Superman 1978. It is a phenomenal movie. You should watch it. Even part of the 1978 theme song is in the theme song for this one. And Christopher Reeve’s son plays a news reporter in this movie

1st, Cal-El's parents are not wrong, humans are simple and confused! 2nd, these people act like they do not know own that words and phrases can have many different contextual meanings in a different language/culture! 3, which maybe they dont know yet, but superman ages slowly, so he can live for generations, so of course he would need to take a new wife every like 30plus years.

I loved this movie, Corenswet made me actually kind of like Superman's character for like the first time ever! Hoult was one of the best Lex Luthors after Rosenbaum from Smallville (that character will always be the greatest love of my life) and Mr Terrific stole the whole damn show. But my favorite scene was when Hawkgirl straight up killed the Benjemin Satanyahu wannabe ruler of the fictional movie version of the GENOCIDAL terrorist false state of Israel! If u haven't seen it yet, I really hope that u react to Smallville!

My biggest issue with superhero movies is the fact that the hero is always blamed for the damage done to buildings and roads. Like in the man of steel movies, if superman hadn't stopped zod, the whole earth would have been destroyed, so what if half the city is destroyed? And in this movie, when fighting the giant monster, superman literally made sure there were no casualties, so whats the big deal if there are millions in damages? How is he to be blamed for the monster appearing? Plus if he hadn't stopped it, hundreds would probably have died and the damages would have then been in the hundreds millions if not more, and superman would have been blamed for not showing up. Either reward him for stopping the monster or don't complain when he doesn't help/

Based on the uh, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow the comic book It's one of my favourite versions of Kara in comics, the version is a drunk and the comic is about morality of killing, uncaring, emotional resilience but yeah, she is a drunk and a party girl in the comic And that is what the Supergirl movie will most likely be based off of!

The funny thing about Superman is despite being one of the most popular Superheroes, he's the one the general public knows the least about. When it comes to Batman, a lot people can tell you really detailed things about him, his psyche, his world. But with Superman, most people tend to only know surface level things, like his powers, his identity as Clark Kent, relationship with Lois Lane. I appreciate this movie going into to some of the more obscure things about Superman.
