he been doing this for years, started reacting to peak then picked up mid as mid is more trendy currently, "wdym started years ago" quick examples, dropped peak dexter for some mid shows to get more views (although dexter would be more views long term as any peak show would) dropped prison break for some mid quick views now doing it again, its a regular thing for him to recoup all the people who thought "fk this im out i came here for good or peak shows not mid" and he'll carry on doing this stuff until people actually quit in huge numbers, because he can tell people just say "i might quit now" or "im cancelling" but they never do it just comment it, so he thinks oh well i can get away w everything, which clearly he can now unless we do a mass cancel until he gets his stuff sorted it'll keep happening
