In most any other show, I would consider the possibility. However, it would be a radical departure from Addams family canon and lore to have Pugsley be adopted or otherwise not be Gomez's biological son, as well as an unprecedented and out-of-character departure for Morticia to have had an affair. Though it is true the movies and this series did depart from the series canon by switching the ages of Pugsley and Wednesday. (I don't consider any of this a spoiler, although Don hasn't watched the movies or seen the original series. It's not something addressed on screen.)

RavenLord

I actually feel like the gardener's cottage pink explosion was an homage to the original Addams Family series. I'm not sure if I'm right, or if it's just a coincidence, but I've seen pictures of the original series set in color. The living room was garishly pink just like this, because the bright pink filmed best in black-and-white to show as deep gothic blacks and greys. When I saw this cottage interior for the first time, I was struck by how similar it was.

if you notice Wednesday never blinks Jenna Ortega blinks between the scenes when other people are talking or when the camera is off of her 😂
