Hello all, I hope your collective weeks are off to a good start.

Bit of a general update from me. After getting lots of the new studio set up I have to tear a load of the studio down tomorrow morning (BOOOOOO!) as I'll be having shutters fit across the window in the afternoon. Each little thing like that feels like a big victory so I'm looking forward to seeing those up. I'm also wondering what diffusion properties the shutters will offer the studio as it's a large window to cover. Next up for the studio I've sent off for a quote for some wood cut to size for twin slot based shelving I've mounted on the walls. That will give me a SYNTH WALL in one corner which I'm looking forward to filling with all sorts of goodies.

So general studio roadmap ... All going well shutters in tomorrow, I'll get a quote for wood this week and have it next week then by the week after I'll have got lips (to stop gear sliding of slanted shelves) added to the shelves and them mounted on the brackets. Then I'm back onto organising cabling, spreadsheeting signal flows and sockets for I/O etc. Which is all still a good way off.

Silly note - I was searching for a "I got you" gif or image (as in "I've got your sounds) and this was the best I could find. I hope you like the spinning guy, not sure where he's even from. A US TV show I guess, anyone care to enlighten me?

Onto the topic of the post ...

You may remember I asked you last week for your sounds to process through Mutable Instruments Beads. This stemmed from discussion in our Discord community about what it may offer certain sound sources or patches. So I offered to run your audio through Beads to find out. The original post is here - https://www.patreon.com/posts/divkid-needs-you-47967902?cid=54576899

I have lots of your audio now, certainly more than expected and enough to be getting on with. I can't promise I'll use it all but the goal is to play around with your sounds running into Beads and playing with the module to see what it offers. I'll make a video of this, give credit to you and your sounds and you can then watch all of this in a video.

IMPORTANT BITS

DEADLINE As I have enough audio I'm going to set a deadline for anyone that wants to send anything as this Thursday the 4th of March. If you want to send something for me to check out and maybe use that's your last chance. If for some reason you'll have something later than that please comment on this post or talk to me somewhere.

CHECK YOUR AUDIOYou need to head to Google Drive at the link below to check I have your audio. If it's not in that folder presume I don't have it and it needs re-sending. Again a comment on this post with your intentions would be handy.  You can view all the files I have on Google Drive - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1TSJuMbGdX5NCBWNQFUf4OuoeU6bYhlT4?usp=sharing

DON'T USE ANYONE'S AUDIOAs I requested audio for the purpose of using in a video about processing sound through Beads, I don't want to presume everyone is fine that this audio may be taken and used by others elsewhere. Everyone's is cool and collected here but without permission please don't take audio that isn't your own to use elsewhere. I'm only sharing the audio here for the sake of you having a chance to check what I have.

COPYRIGHT STRIKESIf anything you have sent contains any copyright material (yours or other peoples) I cannot use it as I will get copyright strikes against the video on YouTube. This means commercial releases, samples of published work, your own work that you own copyright to but use a service like Distrokid to upload your audio to stores/streaming services which also adds the audio to audio ID systems used by the likes of Google/YouTube. It can be damaging to a YouTube channel to receive copyright strikes or at the low level just annoying and demonetising. Please let me know if I need to be careful with or not use what you've sent through.

GIVING CREDIT / YOUR DETAILSOf course I'll be giving credit for your sounds with a visual and description based shoutout. Mentioning a user name, artist name or real name and talking about what the audio you sent is and how I'm processing that in Beads. I have made a Google Sheets document for all the audio I have. Lots of info is missing, it would be nice to have a little comment on the audio from yourself (that I may or may not use) and also a link you would like me to share so people can check out your music/sounds or just connect with you if they've heard something they like.

Here is the spreadsheet pictured above for eye candy for those into spreadsheets ... that's got to be a specialist area on the internet!  - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RNImChP2tTTdowh-z8ww_DB1hI-DjK8PG-DORxKJA10/edit?usp=sharing -

That's it for now, mini studio take down tomorrow, re build following, back to some video work, back to catching up with the mountains of messages and notifications, back to this Beads community audio project and back to the Beads patch cookbook!

All the best and chat soon, Ben
