Hello,

hope you're good. Out today is the new Zero 2 module from DPW Design. It's 2hp, dual channel and packed with potential (especially when coupled with a Switch, I use the DPW 'Switch' but any will do) for lots of patches.

In the video I use like a logic AND, a zero detection click free switch (even at audio rates), logic max, build a rectifier (that does more than any rectifier I know of), patch a probability skipper, add jitter to clock signals, generate some really nice glitchy thick bass tones from just two sine waves and also make Mutable Instruments Rings sound like I've never heard it before ... Impressive design and uses cases I think. Lots of video details below.

As a reminder, discounts to Patchwerks, Perfect Circuit and Signal Sounds as well as Producertools LED cables (exclusive to $5+ patrons) can be found HERE.

Another video coming for another new module this Thursday (unless there's any issues with anything, but the video is done). Come chat in the Discord (info below) and see you soon!

VIDEO DETAILS

Here we have the Zero 2 from DPW Design that I’m coupling with the ‘Switch’ module for a bit of a co-video. These two are a perfect pairing, partners in crime, bandits of rhyme and chief keepers of time …

When making demos I want to make videos that are tutorials on a given set of functions, pushing for creativity and musicality with the tools at hand. With Zero 2 and Switch the possibilities are fairly endless, they look simple but the power that lies in the patching brings so many ways of working I was excited to continually find new things from the modules. We can analyse audio to find click-free points to switch waveforms, logic AND or MIN/MAX functions, switch based half wave rectifications, Ring Mod like tones, retro arcade game trill sounds, probability skipping, adding jitter to clocks or getting things in sync … watch the video and see. For a few sockets in two HP it’s a powerful little thing!
