Bug (Patreon)

Sketches for my first attempt at sculpture since 2009, when I made a clay Angela for the cover of Underburbs #9. It’s for/of a coworker and dear friend by the chosen name of Bug. Naturally, my ass is like, “what if they were a REAL bug??” I’m using Sculpey, wire for the armature, hair, and antennae, and a limited palette of craft paints. I’ve given myself a ridiculously short deadline for this, but that means I’ll hopefully post results by the end of the week!

First three pics are sketches for the bugsona sculpture, the last is an actual portrait (which I’ve updated about 3-4 times whenever they decide to color their hair).
