You can now email a client their full proposal and estimate together, in one message, with the subject line and body already written for that specific client and project.
If you've used the Job Estimator and Proposal system, you know the feeling of finishing a proposal and then still having to open Outlook, write a subject line, remember to attach the right PDF, and hope you didn't leave last month's client name in there from the last email you sent. That extra step was the last manual part of an otherwise automated process, and it's exactly what I went after in this update.
Now there's a brand-new email management screen where you can build unlimited custom templates, and each one can pull in variables like the client name, project name, price, and date straight from the project itself. When you click to email a proposal, you can now choose whether to send just the proposal or combine it with the estimate PDF, and both get attached automatically. The template fills in the correct client name, the correct amount formatted the way you want it, and the correct date, so what lands in the client's inbox is finished and personal, not a placeholder with brackets still showing. I also caught and corrected a mismatched date variable in one of the templates, and now every email you send gets logged automatically, so you've got a record of exactly what went out and when without digging through your Sent folder.
Go pull up one of your existing email templates first and take a look at how the variables are set up, since that's the fastest way to see how much of this is already working for you behind the scenes.
This is the kind of thing I keep coming back to fix and improve because a system that saves you time on the estimate but still costs you time on the follow-up email isn't finished, and your membership means you get that follow-through instead of a training that just sits there.
