Hello friends, great to have you here as a Silver Member. This week's training is Userform Data Mapping.

In this comprehensive training, I will be showing you how to create a userform and map that data to the database. We will create the userform and write all the code during the video training.

▶️ Feel free to watch the full training video right here on YouTube when it goes live.

As a Silver Member, you can also participate in our Feature, Fix or Focus Program, in which each week I will add a feature, fix an issue, or focus on a specific part of the current week’s training. This Feature, Fix, or Focus will be entirely based on your requests and ideas in the comments below. Based on those suggestions, I will then create another short video, along with an updated workbook and make them available exclusively to you, right here on Patreon. I look forward to reading your comments below.

👉 Make sure you download the workbook, PDF codebook, and the training resources in the files below.

I would love to hear your feedback, ideas, and suggestions on any upcoming videos as well, so make sure to comment below as I read every comment.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope you enjoy the training. Thank you.

Dear Mr.Randy, Could you please us to understand how can we add automatic ID in fields like YEAR+0001 (2014SO001) and how can we perform Calculation in fields

Jan Bolhuis

Can you show a method that a field is mandatory? For example the SKU field? And if the user ahs not filled this field that there will come a message that it is mandatory. After the message box and clicking OK, the textbox must get a red/pink color and immediately be selected (set.focus method). Unfortunately the set.focus method doesn't work in my userforms. So I'm very curious how to deal with that. O and after the user has filled the SKU, the backcolor of the textbox must become white again.

Hi and thanks very much Jeyraj. You can use a helper column that includes the number only, then use VBA to combine the year Year(Date) along with any text, to create a unique ID. I will try to incorporate this in an upcoming training. I will also go over this idea in the update for you for sure. Thanks for your continued support

HI Jan, thanks for the nice idea. I will absolutely include this in the update. I will also do my best with the set focus, however I also have this issue sometimes. I will try to find a workaround as well. I could do the check on "Save" or on Field Exit, so i can go ver both of these options. Thank you for your continued support.
