I watched it in german and the scene where Mugen charges the bad guy as he held a hostage was much more impactful to me first time seeing it, since Mugens german dub has a deeper and powerful voice. And usually you'd expect the main characters to stop if someone has a hostage, but Mugen just ran towards him with a smirk and basically yelled "As if I give a fuck!" I admired that moment, cause he was so fearless, the bad guy didn't had any power over him, no leverage and no reason to kill the son anymore.

I'm wondering by the way what the piano is doing at the end of the opening. I'ver never heard anything like that and although it sounds dissonant it still sounds good. How does that work? Is there a pattern or a way how to do this? I remember asking my high school music teacher about it more than 10 years ago, but I got no explanation :D

Oh those are just little chord extension stab hits. You are completely right about dissonance. But, in Jazz and similar type of music, all the best parts are in the voicing that extend past the basic fundamentals of the chord providing that type of tone textures. Dissonance is of course relevant to what is happening within the rest of the sound scape .

To put it in terms of something more simple basically what we're describing here with the sounds you had me listen to is something in music as common as commas semicolons and basic sentence construction so really it exists all over the place. It would be quite challenging to provide a single piece to listen to I would just listen more for it now

I’ve been having a tough time these past few days because of a really painful breakup with someone I deeply loved. Things just didn’t work out, and it’s been hard. But I wanted to thank you for your reactions, especially to Samurai Champloo, and also shows like JoJo and others. I watched Samurai Champloo almost ten years ago, so my memory’s a bit hazy, but I still remember how amazing the story was. Watching it again through your reactions feels really comforting. Honestly, these videos have been one of the few bright spots in my life lately, so I just wanted to say how much I appreciate them and how much your channel means to me, Tony.

In my defense I never compared 🟨 to our chika here. Objectively speaking I know I’m wrong, just the type of annoying she is cuts me a little deeper😅 like the pouttiness of it I guess irks me more than the shrieks of 🟨….. once again, I know I’m wrong🤷‍♂️

Very sorry to hear. That part of life is hard af when it happens. The only cure is time and it goes slow. I'm glad the channel can be a distraction. Keep pushing. There is good coming on the other side of the pain.
