I love the way this show weaves the one off mysteries, like red-green colorblind doors, into the regular plot. They only spent a few seconds on it here, but I suspect there will be huge political ramifications because of it

She was the high concubine that left the rear palace in season 1. The one that lost her uterus during the birth of her child, who her head lady in waiting accidentally killed by feeding honey. But then it was strongly, strongly implied her baby had gotten swapped with the empress dowager's baby, and that Jinshi is actually her and the emperor's son. Which is also pretty clear from their resemblance. This is the first time we see her since she left the rear palace, so it's probably intended to be an "Oh snap!" moment.

That grape juice scene is related to the shrine maze episode where only colourblind people could solve it. Maomao figured out that they used that shrine to make sure the next Emperor or their concubine had the same bloodline. So this grape juice scene has to be related to that somehow.
