I have done 3 seasons and am currently on the 4 movie episodes. My understanding is that is all there is to do. I tried the OVA but.. lmaooo it was too much for posting on Patreon

I'd love for you to watch Jobless Reincarnation but I wonder if that's fitting for Cringe Tier. I'm sure it would. It's a series not meant for younger people so you'd probably enjoy it quite a bit

no he wont, hes been very vocal about disliking it, and he didn't like re-zero, or fmab, and the parts of oshi no ko he hated are big parts in mushoku, don't get me wrong i understand why people do and don't like it but he's already said he will never watch it.

well a couple of things, fist off the fact that a grown man re-incarnates as a child and does pervy things, someone linked a video talking about the og web series, which was so much more explicit its basically a different story almost, like in oshi no ko where a grown man becomes a not grown man and then has relations with not grown people, its uncomfortable at best, disgusting at worst, obv thats the point in mushoku, but still, and hes an extrovert whos very clearly never really dealt with introversion in any sort of extreme way, so the whole plot point of "super introvert has psychotic break as a teenager and never emotionaly or mentally matures beyond that" is not something that could, in any way, resonate with him enough to overcome its more... lets say controversial elements.

Aaaah I see, makes total sense, I don't read much into things like that, if I did I'd have issues with even the best rated series out there, Frieren, Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, anime and a lot of series for "grown people" in general, the world is fucked up. My head canon is that he spent too long as a child and that made his mind forget he was old somewhat, like it was years and years by the end of the first season he was like 10 or something. I can't remember what I was doing 10 years ago and I'm 24. Not justifying it ofc, in real life if I met someone who wishes they were Rudeus or at least in a situation like that for pervy purposes I'd get away as fast as possible lol. I just try to ignore it so I can enjoy the rest of the story and animation. Like if I absolutely didn't compromise on that I would not be able to watch something like Game of thrones which has some of the most fucked up stuff out there.

no i get you, you really cant be an anime fan for alot of the stuff out there if you don't learn to kinda ignore/move past certain "tropes" that are common

Oh I can ignore tropes. I do it all the time when I'm watching stuff offline. The difference is you guys are not attaching your face and brand to anything vs me when is public and "drumrolltony"

Yeah that makes total sense, I would not like to have my face or brand attached to some heavy pervy stuff. Like that Love is war ova is too much, I didn't watch it as soon as I saw what it was about. It also didn't really with the rest of the series' tone. You can still watch jobless reincarnation on your own time if you decide to of course. A few people don't care but reacting to animes is not the only thing you do so If I was in your position I'd do the same.
