Heyyyy we saw a match 👀👏Great foundations for demonstrating why fundamental development is important. I am hoping that we have a much tougher match vs Date Tech, and we keep the cycle of players augmenting themselves from the agony of defeat. A lot of good in lessons in here that are really present in real life competition. Good writing

3:45 I appreciate the sentiment, and you should always believe in your victory and fight to the very end, but there's also levels to skill even wthin the same age bracket such that the odds of winning can be close to 0%.

I like that Haikyu makes sure that opponents get the respect they deserve even if they've lost

“They’re in junior high, just like us!” He says in 30 year old man voice 🤣

15:29 the track is "Winners and Losers", alhough the track that plays until 14:40 is different (Losers). Someone else please correct me if i'm wrong, my ears have become tired form repeatedly listening to the S1 album trying to spot the matching ones.

16:48 Haha FYI, i know it says "Date Tech", but it's "Da-Te" in pronunciation. It's the name of the city.

Idk if you actually want an answer to the question of if it gets harder or not, so I will leave that be, but I will say this, this episode shows why a regular season could get rid of pretty shit teams, because that team they played is not a team that would ever make it if there was a regular season, but I do kind of like it where it's just a tournament where you lose you're done, this is a couple months into the school year, and not having the regular season promotes more into focusing on practicing a shit ton more, rather than preparing for a specific team every week, so the team that wants to win more, should practice more

Y'know, fair point, that is how sports ball

While they don't have a season in Japan for High school Volleyball specifically they hold 3 national competitions a year, though the format for every tournament is slightly different. I also think the amount of tournaments held for a sport varies depending on what sport it is.
