100%, i will warn that one of the later seasons is basically just 1 game, and it can drag a bit, but 100% recommend and beg you to finish the WHOLE series, especially given how much you've love it so far, such a great show. Like you said, its predictable but fun, its just the hero's journey distilled down to its most base form, and then done well lol

SKAOG

I think you can start Season 2 EP 1, but others can confirm that there are no OVAs between S1 and S2. (There's OVAs later though)

0:23 😂😂😂

Sabrina

Yes for Season 2!! Hard work and some pay off!

FullHeart

Absolutely season 2. It only gets better from here

Red Menace

one thing i do love about this is that while most sports would have them stereotypical win, they actually lose here, like that's one thing that i think haikyuu does very well, is showing the loss, how it effects you, and how you just got to pick yourself back up, improve and go again. Learning, not just how to lose, but how to learn from a loss, and improve from it, is one of the most important life skills a person can have, don't care if your rich or poor, young or old, male/female, etc. EVERYONE loses, in some way, shape, or form, and learning how to overcome it and learn from it, a priceless lesson.

Absolutely season 2! That game was just the appetizer for how good it gets. Someone else already mentioned it but yes, an entire (shorter) season for a single match LOL. And it’s incredible

Dario Lizardisilva

One season of 10 Episodes, however there's always the Movie option for that.

Tuny kun

Wow, I've never heard anyone say that season dragged before. It's the highest rated season by far out of all the seasons on MAL.

SKAOG

13:52/13:57 - 14:56 what an incredible sequence!

Red Menace

@tuny kun, yes, i will say that FOR ME it dragged because i was binging the show, had just finished another sports anime, Baby Steps(its a tennis anime), AND ive seen so much anime that the flashbacks to the past IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ACTION just annoyed the hell outa me. It got to the points where i just started fast forwarding through the flash backs to get back to the game. The lead up to, match, and follow up after, could have been 3-5 episodes, and it felt like it got stretched, i will say that @dario said, the movie is a better option, its much tighter.

19:34 Ikeda is GOATed for his wisdom, he's firmly got his place as the club advisor.

The iconic crying-eating scene. That’s what passion means. Give us season 2!

Alamun

I would love it if you continued on with season 2!

Isaac Noël

stuff like this is good for the soul

Unbeknownst Man

I think it's perfectly fine to finish Haikyu! Seasons are not very long and they are quite binge-able, but obviously that would be up to your tolerance/liking of the series at that point!

Cody

Season 2 is one of the best

Unbeknownst Man

I have to be super honest about one thing, though! I truly hope Slam Dunk follows after Haikyuu, it just has to, hahah.

7:05 this guy should not be getting away with so many tips from the middle

You're not really enjoying the anime if you're fast forwarding. Have you ever see Tony fast forward a piece of music because there wasn't enough "action"? Lmao! That's the problem with todays day and age, all are so used to getting their dopamine hits immediately through flashy scenes and action that they can't enjoy different paces anymore and are just chasing the peaks, smh.

Most people will say Haikyuu first season is a pretty great season, above average and very enjoyable. Season 2, is where Haikyuu honestly starts earning it's spot as contender for best sports anime ever. I fell in love with this show then and everything is fucking S TIER. Kageyama was having a fucking meltdown this episode that someone he previously played with and had a bad attitude, could somehow perform better on another team. The people and the environment can be exactly what leads to the correct growth and the shots of Oikawa, his lines, that dude is a fucking BEAST. The ability to read the situation that well and other players to know that the amazing quick was about to come and stop it on a dime, that's veteran level stuff and part of the reason he's my favorite character.
