Massive strong start to season 2 - love it already Crazy to see the huge athletic prowess improvements to the team in ep 1 in season 2 vs what we had going on in ep 1 of season 1. LOL we got a field trip tangent at the end of this episode LMAO.

Ushiwaka is a really funny character bc he’s pretty laid back and stoic about everything, he’s just blunt as hell and doesn’t even know the concept of sugarcoating. So even tho he’s being kinda respectful, he still knows everyone on Seijoh is kinda shit compared to his standard. Kageyama with the most shit eating “fuck yea that’s my guy” grin is absolutely hilarious, they’re partners for sure lmao

I believe each club is allotted a certain amount of money from the schools budgets, some getting more than others, which I would assume if a school had a high quality sports program they would allot that club more money than others, I could be wrong but I’m fairly certain that’s how it works

SKAOG

Another SPYAIR OP! (vocalist has a distinct voice, with the recognisable background instruments)

I feel like all the Anime about school competitions eventually will end up as a therapy session for Tony to vent about everything that sucks about dealing with students. It‘s great honestly, always enjoy the tangents. Keep them coming, I think most people really don't mind and those that do can always just skip ahead.

SKAOG

And a new set of OSTs! (although the previous ones will also be used)

I like the way ushiwaka speaks to others because, like, he's very genuine. He is legitimately the best player around, he knows it, and when he says "you need to be at this level to match me" he's not talking shit he actually means it and is just being real.

The music playing when Hinata catches the ball at the end is called "Above", you should give the full version a listen. it's one of popular and recognizable OST of teh ENTIRE show, you gonna LOVE it...Trust !!!

Good reminder at the end. I used to feel so bad ass leaving band early with the homies to go to away games. The funny thing is, 4 of us were in the trumpet section. The band director lost a trumpet 1, trumpet 2, and 2 trumpet 3s each time.

This part of S2 is my fave of the series, the level up this time around is fun to watch

Having been in both band and soccer during my time in high school, it's awesome to hear the perspective of the teacher/director. I enjoy the little tangents you can sort of go on when it comes to this topic, brings me back to a fun time in my life. Just wanted to drop a bit of an appreciation comment is all

Yea, big schools like Ushikawa’s are private schools so they have more funding to play around with but the allocation is mostly done in the same manner in public Japanese High schools. Roughly explained there is a general school budget handled by the school itself and separately taken out from that and set apart is a “student budget” which is in most cases handled by the Student Council, (a council made up out of students with an elected president, vice president). They basically represent the student body and handle and divide up the budget for the school clubs and any student related activities. Usually they can also have a teacher supervisor.

“I’m Hinata Shoyo, from the concrete” RAHHH man I forgot how rad this season was, the training camp is going to be so much fun, although they do have to pass their exams first LOL. Loved the tangent Tony teaching insights at the end, looking forward to the next episode!

Nah fr tho I love it, I miss those crash outs at the sound euphonium teacher🤣🤣

Haha, what can I say? Looks like we've all got good taste

I always take for granted growing up in a High School that prioritized music, in some cases even more than the sports programs. We were multi time BOA Grand National champs, so it makes sense, but that's crazy to hear you being scoffed at by leadership for trying to get time off of class for music related outings. Ridiculous
